Upper & Lower Back Conditions
Deep Gluteal / Piriformis Syndrome
Deep gluteal (piriformis) syndrome involves pain in the buttocks due to compression or irritation of the sciatic nerve by the piriformis muscle. We'll focus on stretching and strengthening exercises to alleviate your symptoms.
Femoral Nerve Radiculopathy
Femoral nerve radiculopathy (rah-dik-yoo-LAH-puh-thee) is when the femoral nerve, which supplies sensation and movement to the leg, is compressed or irritated, causing pain and weakness. Treatment may include exercises and therapies to relieve pressure on the nerve.
Femoroacetabular Impingement
Femoroacetabular (fem-uh-roh-uh-SEE-tab-yoo-lar) impingement is when there is abnormal contact between the ball and socket of the hip joint, causing pain and reduced range of motion. We'll work on exercises and techniques to improve hip function and reduce pain.
Greater Trochanteric Pain Syndrome
Greater trochanteric pain syndrome involves pain on the outside of the hip due to inflammation or injury to the tendons around the greater trochanter. Treatment may involve exercises to strengthen the hip muscles and improve flexibility.
Lower Back Pain and Sciatica
Lower back pain with sciatica involves pain that radiates down the leg due to compression or irritation of the sciatic nerve. We'll develop a plan to relieve pressure on the nerve and improve your symptoms.
Lumbar Disc Injury
A lumbar disc injury involves damage to one of the discs in your lower back, causing pain and sometimes nerve compression. Treatment may include exercises, physical therapy, or in some cases, surgery.
Mechanical Back Pain
Mechanical back pain is pain that's typically related to the movement and structure of the spine, often caused by poor posture, lifting incorrectly, or muscle strain. We'll focus on exercises and techniques to improve your posture, strengthen your core muscles, and reduce pain.
Muscular Related Pain
Upper back muscular pain can result from poor posture, muscle strain, or overuse. We'll focus on posture correction, stretching, and strengthening exercises to relieve pain and prevent recurrence.
Sacroiliac Joint Dysfunction
Sacroiliac (SAK-roh-IL-ee-ak) joint dysfunction involves pain and instability in the sacroiliac joint, which connects the sacrum to the pelvis. We'll work on techniques to stabilize the joint and improve your symptoms.
Spondylosis
Spondylosis (spon-dih-LOH-sis) is the degeneration of the spine, including the discs and facet joints, which can lead to stiffness and pain in the lower back. We'll focus on exercises to improve flexibility and strengthen supporting muscles.
Whiplash
Whiplash is an injury that happens when your neck is suddenly jolted back and forth, often from a car accident. You might feel pain and stiffness in your neck, but with the right care, we can help you feel better soon.
